So last Week our futon busted. The bar that holds the middle of the futon up broke. We jumped online, got our tax return done, and had the money for the Presidents day sales. Thank you Uncle Sam. Yesterday we spent most of the day going from one store to the next trying to find the best deal. We found a few different options to choose from. Britany wanted micro-fiber and I wanted leather. I called Mom and Kristin a few different times to make sure we were not getting ripped off and in the end we went with all leather. The ones we got have dark brown leather on the bottom and a tanner sawed on top. I didn’t like that much at first but that is what Britany liked. I guess that style just came out this year and they are selling it a ton. I just hope that in 10 years people don’t look at them and think wow they must have got those things way back in 2008. But I am sure that will happen anyways. I think we got a good deal on them. They were 65% less where we got them compared to the other stores “Sale Prices”. So we feel good about that too. Oh and Baylee might not be able to sit on them w/o us, untill they are old enough to where we dont care anymore.Friday, February 15, 2008
Wrestling
So to start this out, this year I got a phone call from the school athletic director saying, I looked at your schedule and this semester you have a break from 3:00-4:30 so I have your name down to coach. Well I didn’t know I was wrestling this semester but OK. So we have tryouts and I get a team of great guys. But 4 of them have never stepped on a mat. We started practice 3 weeks ago and only for an hour and a half on Mon, & Wed. Not much time to say the least. What do you do with that? Well we started working on shots & stance, setups and sprawling. Then just this week we got to the ground game. This week we had our first meet and to say the least some of them were a little Nervis for their first match. I just told them they know what they are doing (small lie) and to act like they have been there before. Also on top of that it is three-day weekend and I only had 8 out of 15 wrestlers tonight. 4 with mat time & 4 without. The others I lost to Utah, Vegas, and meeting future mother in laws. The tam we were wrestling had 11 guys and added 4 more to there team tonight (cheap). So all but one of my guys had to wrestle twice jumping to all different weights. It seemed as if most of them we got pinned or pinned them. But 3 of the 4 that had never wrestled won at least one of their match's. One of them wrestling against a 2 time state champ. Plus the rest of my guys who knew what they were doing did pretty well. At the en of the night we tied them 39-39. Although I think given the circumstances we cleaned the mat with those guys. Next week should be even more fun. I just need to teach them how to get off their backs.

Footballs Starting

Well it is semi-pro football season again. I didn’t think that I was going to play this year with every thing that I have going on. But one of the guys on the team is now going out with Suzanne.I have played with him and his brothers for a long time and know them well. So now that zan is going out with him there is a little more pressure to play. I already have the helmet, pads, and uniform, so the only real expense would be traveling. I figure that we will be carpooling with Broxton and zan a lot though. So hopefully tat want be bad either. The truth is it would be a little acquired if they brake up though even though Suzanne and Broxton don’t seem to think so. Zan just told me that things are going really quick with plans for the future. And they are going out to visit mom and dad this weekend. Scary I hope they don’t give me and Britany a run for our money. We still want to hold the record for that one. Ok I kind of went off topic there but in other words I am kind of being suckered in to playing again. I just don’t know how well my body is going to do with this right after coaching this wrestling season.
